The Shaw Rowcroft Memorial Trophy 5km race will take place at the Athletics track at the Pingles
This race is being held in memory of a great man that was taken too early from us all. Shaw was much loved by all who knew him at Nuneaton Triathlon Club and was one of the clubs most dedicated members. In remembering Shaw's inclusive spirit, this is a 5km race that can be won by anyone. All you need to do is predict the time it will take you to complete the 5km's (12 and a half laps of the track) and the member whose actual time is closest to their predicted time will win the Shaw Rowcroft Memorial Trophy. Strictly NO timing device will be allowed, watch, phone, music, or anything else. You can walk, jog or run it, it's really up to you, just be the closest to your predicted time.
This competition is open to everyone whether a member of NTC or not. There will be a small prize for the winner, but only the closest NTC member can also win the coveted trophy.
Entry fee is £5 which includes a donation to Shaw's chosen charity the Myton Hospice.
There will be a cake sale and all money raised will also go to Myton. Volunteers to donate some cakes will also be appreciated!
